Robert Washington is known as one of the world's best Elvis Entertainers. He has performed all over the country as well as England and Japan. Robert not only has the voice
of Elvis but he has that special charisma that Elvis had. Robert doesn't just sing, he makes you feel like he is singing just for you!!!! He is a true Elvis fan and it shows in his performance.
Robert was born in St. Louis, MO in 1958 and grew up in Cape Girardeau. His love of Elvis started when he began watching Elvis movies. After graduating high school Robert joined the Marines. On his 19th birthday during bootcamp Robert's drill sergeant asked if there were any Elvis fans. Then and there Robert learned of Elvis' tragic death. At first he didn't believe that Elvis could have died. After all, Elvis was only 42 years old. Sadly, 2 days later when Robert was able to get a newspaper,
he learned that indeed Elvis had passed away on his 19th birthday.
Robert's singing debut was at a karaoke show where his friends encouraged him to give it a try. He was such a hit that the locals kept asking for more and he ended up singing the entire night. He then began singing at different Elvis Fan Club benefits in Maine where he is a member. Word spread of Robert's talent
and he started getting job offers for different events in the New England area. In 1992 Robert entered the Images of Elvis competition in Memphis, TN where he came in second place.
In 1995 he won first place at the Elvis Fantasy Fest in Portage, IN. On August 16, 2003 Robert won first place at the Images of Elvis competition in Memphis, TN.
Robert was also featured in the documentary "Almost Elvis", which won a golden award.
Robert has fans world wide who adore him. He is a gentleman,
and a true class act!
